Community Health Institute offers a range of academically rigorous and professionally relevant programmes designed to produce competent community health practitioners. In partnership with Nasarawa State University, Keffi, our programmes combine CHI’s specialised training with nationally recognised academic credentials.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Our postgraduate diploma programmes provide advanced specialisation in critical community health disciplines. Each programme is designed to equip practitioners with specialised knowledge and skills for effective community health practice.

Available Specialties

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Eye Care

Specialized training in prevention, detection, and management of common eye conditions at the community level, including screening programmes and vision health promotion.

2. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)

Comprehensive training in community-based ENT health services, focusing on prevention, early detection, and primary management of common ENT conditions.

3. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Immunology

Advanced study of immunization programmes, vaccine management, and disease prevention strategies at the community level.

4. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Mental Health

Specialized training in community-based mental health services, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and psychosocial support.

5. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Child Health and IMCI

Comprehensive training in Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) and community-based child health promotion and disease prevention.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Nursing, or related health sciences
  • NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
  • Minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) or equivalent
  • Professional registration with relevant regulatory body (where applicable)
