Oral health is a critical aspect of child wellbeing, yet children in rural Nigerian communities face high levels of untreated dental problems and limited access to preventive care. Children’s perspectives on dental pain and prevention remain under-documented, limiting the design of effective interventions. The study investigated self-reported experiences of tooth pain, perceived causes, impacts, and prevention views among primary school children in a rural community in Zamfara State, Nigeria.
