This study explores the relationship between drug abuse and academic performance of adolescent and adult students, with implications for health educators. Utilising a correlational research design, the study sampled 291 participants from a population of 1,324 students, comprising 229 adolescents and 62 adults. Data were collected using a questionnaire to assess drug abuse and students’ Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as a measure of academic achievement. Reliability of the instrument was confirmed with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.788. Pearson Product Moment Correlation and independent sample t-tests were used to analyse the data.
