Malnutrition among children under five remains a critical public health issue, particularly in low-resource communities like Nepa, Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, Nigeria. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of malnutrition and determinants, with a specific focus on maternal knowledge in influencing child nutrition. A descriptive cross-sectional design was employed, involving 182 mothers or primary caregivers of children under five, selected through a multistage sampling technique. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics.
